Insomnia is an extremely common sleep disorder suffered by a large proportion of the population. The effects of insomnia can be quite serious and can affect the sufferer?s everyday activities in many ways. Therefore it is no surprise that sufferers should be looking for ways to cure their problem or, at the very least, to alleviate its symptoms.

Many sufferers begin by using natural remedies and, if these do not work, may pass on to over-the-counter medications. Finally, if these also fail, they may begin taking prescription drugs under the care of their physician. Examples of Child Sleep Disorders

Children’s sleep disorders can manifest themselves in many ways, and some can be more serious than others. The underlying factor in most cases is a child’s fear of the dark - something most of us can remember. We shall look at the different types of sleep disorders common in children and describe their symptoms and possible results. We shall attempt to help parents to understand what is happening to their children when they suffer from a sleep disorder, and also what they can, and should, do to help their offspring get over it.

A fear of the dark leads to nightmares, about monsters, dragons or any other nasty beast the child might have read about or seen on TV that day. In some cases these nightmares end with the child waking up shouting and screaming. This can already be considered a sleep disorder, but it becomes even more serious when it leads to bedwetting. Ambien and Possible Insomnia Side Effects

Insomnia is a sleep disorder suffered by millions of people. Some of these people have tried natural remedies and then over-the-counter medications without success. They then turn to prescription medicines, and one of the most commonly-used is Ambien. Unfortunately, Ambien may have a number of serious and less serious side effects if it is not taken correctly. We shall look at what exactly these side effects are and what can, and should, be done to avoid them. We shall try to answer the question of whether Ambien is a safe treatment for insomnia and, if so, what precautions must be taken to keep it safe.

Ambien has indeed become a very popular drug for the treatment of insomnia, but even so we should not believe that we can take it without being aware of some of its potential side effects. However, it is only fair to say that most of these side effects are usually caused by ignorance and by not taking notice of the instructions.
