Insomnia Treatments: from Mild to Strong
Finding the best treatment for their problem is very important for all insomnia sufferers. Insomnia can have very severe effects on their life, including fatigue and lack of concentration ? which can even lead to serious accidents in the case of drivers or operators of machinery. Fortunately, there are now many different treatment options open to insomnia patients, ranging from classic natural remedies to the most advanced prescription drugs. However, most physicians ? and insomnia sufferers- would agree that it is much better to prevent insomnia than to cure it.
Prevention Is Better than Cure
One of the first, and most important steps, in preventing insomnia is to limit your caffeine intake. Insomnia Treatment with Trazodone and its Side Effects
Nowadays insomnia sufferers have a myriad of options open to them for treating their condition. Many opt for over the counter medications or prescription drugs, such as Trazodone. What must be borne in mind, however, is that Trazaodone is, first and foremost, an anti-depressant drug that is often prescribed to treat depression with accompanying insomnia. While it might appear that this would be very welcome among insomnia sufferers it can also bring unwelcome consequences if it makes you lose concentration. (more…)

Insomnia Tips: How to Sleep More and Better
Insomnia is such a widespread problem that any tips on how to get to sleep quicker, or on how to sleep throughout the night without waking up, will have a very wide audience indeed. Caffeine, Alcohol and Exercise
One of the first things you should realize is that taking a nap during the day to make up for the sleep lost the night before is simply counter-productive ? it confuses your body and does not help to establish a fixed sleep routine and timetable. Another thing to avoid is too much caffeine and alcohol. A coffee in the morning should be no problem, but you should try to avoid drinking anything containing caffeine in the second half of the day. Many people drink alcohol before going to bed because it seems to make them sleepier and drowsier. While this may be true at the beginning, that effect soon wears off, and alcohol will in fact make your sleep less deep and more fitful. (more…)
